What if I can't find an appointment date/time I want?

Email us at bluemoonschedule@yahoo.com.  We can often fit you in, and if not, we keep a wait list for each location.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

Blue Moon Wellness reserves the right to charge for cancellations based on the following cancellation policy. Emergencies, illness and weather conditions will, of course, be taken into consideration. We require 36 hours notice for a cancellation, so that that appointment time can be given to another client. If an appointment is cancelled less than 36 hours before the scheduled appointment time, there will be a $30 charge. If we are able to schedule someone else into your FULL appointment time, there will be no cancellation fee. NO SHOWS WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL APPOINTMENT FEE. If you need to cancel within the 36 hour time period, call or text us at 540-660-4367. Thank you for your understanding!

How do I prepare for my animal’s appointment?

Arrive in plenty of time and make sure to allow opportunity for your animal to relieve themselves before your appointment. As we know, animals read our feelings, so try to keep yourself relaxed and calm, and make it fun for them. If they have a favorite reward treat, feel free to bring it. Keep in mind appointments are generally back-to-back so your 30 minutes, for example, is the total time for everything. We want to maximize your animal friend's actual treatment time, so please be sure payment is ready, bathroom trips have been made and any questions you have are asked during the appointment.

What if my animal has never had a massage?

Most animals settle down and enjoy the process, so don’t be concerned if yours is a little excited and wiggly at first. If it’s your first appointment with us, please be sure to book a New Client appointment.

Is it ok to schedule a massage before or while my dog/horse competes?

Yes! Just let us know that you have more competition afterwards or if you are done for the day. We will tailor our techniques to your animal’s needs.

What if my animal was just vaccinated?

Please schedule their massage at least 72 hours AFTER they received their vaccine.

I missed the cutoff date for making an appointment online for my sporting event. Can I still sign up during the event?

Yes! If you are attending an event, just find our set-up and look for the sign-up sheet.

What if the weather is bad?

❄️ Weather Cancelation Policy ❄️

It is the policy of Blue Moon Wellness to see clients during most periods of inclement weather; however, during extreme weather circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel appointments for the safety of everyone. These weather events and our policy are outlined below. Please note that our policy can vary depending on location based on the travel distance to that location.

🥶 ICE (of any kind): Almost without exception, we will cancel—or possibly delay the start of a day if the weather is predicted to warm up. We may also close early if ice is predicted later in the day at the location or on the drive home.

❄️ SNOW: This policy varies based on the distance and type of driving, as well as how much snow will be encountered going to the location and coming home. We will notify everyone immediately upon making a decision to cancel, delay or close.

☔️ RAIN: With the exception of severe flooding occurring or predicted, we will be open for business. 

💨 HIGH WINDS: Again, this policy can depend on the driving circumstances for that location that day. Clients will be notified immediately if a decision is made to cancel, delay or close.

If a client cancels for safety as a result of these events, no charge will be incurred, as long as we receive notification that you are cancelling. You can cancel online up to 36 hours before that day. If you wish to cancel less than 36 hours prior to that day, please call or text us at 540-660-4367. Please DO NOT assume that we will know you will not be at your appointment. We reserve the right to charge for the appointment if we do not get a notification of your cancellation at each adverse weather event.
